Thanos Karvelis

Thanos is a lawyer by profession specializing in projects (construction, energy etc.) and associated disputes resolution. He also holds a MSc in Business. He practiced in Greece for more than 20 years, for the most part as partner of KLC Law Firm, one of the biggest law firms in Greece. Since the mid-00’s a large part of his practice was in the UAE (and wider GCC) focused and used to travel to the region regularly. He relocated to Dubai in 2014 followed by his family a year later. Initially, he worked for Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants, a prominent and well-connected Dubai based regional law firm. Since 2019, he is a partner with Charles Russell Speechlys LLP, a UK headquartered international law firm with several offices around the world. He is based in the Dubai office and lead the construction, engineering and projects practice group.
